The first RSG-Türkiye Student Symposium was held on 19 April 2012 in Cappadocia, as a satellite meeting to HIBIT’12, and it is where everything since began. The programme was a keynote, student talks and a poster session, plus a speed science session in which every attendee had two minutes to introduce themselves and their research to the room.
It was aimed at students, post-docs and young researchers in computational biology and bioinformatics in Türkiye: the same audience the symposium has had ever since.
ISCB-SC RSG-Türkiye is a student-led, non-profit organization affiliated with the International Society for Computational Biology Student Council (ISCB-SC). Our annual symposiums have been bringing together undergraduate and graduate students since 2012.
